About you/The performance: Structure #1 is a perfomance based on the relation between a Human and Steel body, the steel body in question is a 5.5 metre high tensegrity structure built with ropes and steel tubes.
The perfomance works with speed or the lack thereoff, and the care and awareness that can comes with it as a starting point of meeting between the human and structure.
Berkey is the constructor and director of the perfomance, Swantje who is a chinese pole artist stepped in as the performing body. Goal of residency: The goal of the recidency was to exstend the perfomance Structure #1 and to introduce Swantje to the perfomance setting and have her step in as performing body.
We succeded grandly within the goal considered short time frame!
